John McCann has many years experience in management and sales. Formerly Assistant General Manager of NZI Corporation employing 2,500 staff with responsibility for Marketing and Corporate services including information technology. John has served on executive management committees involved in strategic planning and instigated corporate acquisitions, mergers and international joint ventures. He has extensive experience in team building, coaching (over 2,000 individual coaching sessions), counselling and mentoring including mentoring a chief executive for five years. His management experience encompassed leading information technology and sales teams.
John founded companies in the mining and computer industries - one of which achieved IBM’s most prestigious award of “IBM Gold Logo Dealer” – Best of the Best. He has worked extensively throughout North America (New York, San Jose, Boston, Chicago, and Toronto to name a few). John has lectured in personal performance, marketing and sales and has worked with Fortune 500 companies and some of Australia’s major corporations (such as IBM, NZI, PSIL, JLW, Volvo, NAB, ANZ, URS, HCF, AIM, Colonial, Hyster, Leightons, Woodside Petroleum, and Flagg Inn).
John has been associated with the Real Estate Industry since 1984.He has experience in many facets of the Real Estate Industry; including computerisation of all aspects of estate agency office operation; Commercial and Residential Sales and property investment advisory service.
He was employed by the leading national and international Real Estate Group, Jones Lang Wootton [LaSalle], responsible for Commercial sales in the city fringe region. John was the top producer for 5 years in one of Raine & Horne’s “top 10” offices and a member of the Raine & Horne “Million Dollar Club” from 1996 to 2001. During this period he completed his initial training as a psychologist. John is still a current licensed real estate agent.
John established a consultancy in 1989 now know as OrgPsych. The company specialises in improving organisational effectiveness through individual, management, leadership and customer relationship development. John specialises in improving real estate personnel performance. He teaches relationship building skills, and negotiation techniques, and charismatic-transformational leadership. He coaches and mentors agents and principals.
The OrgPsych team operate as consultants, coaches, counsellors and confidants. Clients include leading Australian and international companies in various industries including: Aged Care, Consulting, Engineering, Financial – Banking and Insurance, High Technology, Manufacturing, Motor Vehicle, Pharmaceutical and Real Estate.
